"30" mph speed limit sign, re-imagined in Martini Racing colours
This is a genuine, de-commissioned “30” mph Road Sign hand-painted in the colours of the Martini Racing team and then aged to show some of the original colours and reflective parts of the original road sign underneath.
It measures approx. 17.5 inches / 45cm round.
“Martini Racing” is the name that a number of motor racing teams raced under when they were sponsored by Martini and Rossi, an Italian distillery that produces Martini Vermouth in Turin.
It used a distinctive dark blue, light blue and red stripe design, usually on white or silver coloured cars, such as the Le Mans winning Porsche’s of 1971, 1976 and 1977 and in rallying with the Lancia team, which won the Drivers Championships in 1987 and 1991 with driver Juha Kankkunen and in 1988 and 1989 with Massimo Biasion and also the Constructors titles in 1983 and from 1987 - 1992.
