"10" mph speed limit sign, re-imagined in Penske Motorsport Porsche 963 colours. 60cm round
This is a genuine, de-commissioned “10” mph Road Sign hand-painted in the colours of the 2023 Penske Motorsport Porsche 963 24 Hours of Le Mans car and then aged to show some of the original colours and reflective parts of the original road sign underneath.
It measures approx. 24 inches / 60cm round.
Penske Motorsport fielded 3 Porsche 963 cars in the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans race, with this colourful design. They had 15 stripes in 7 different colours, flowing from the front of the car and flaring out at the rear of the car. It was a special foil wrap.
The number 75 Porsche was numbered to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Porsche brand and took part in the Hypercar class. The pink stripe was for the Porsche “Pig” 917 from 1971. The orange stripe for the “Gulf” designs on some of the 1970’s 917’s. The green and light blue stripes for the “Hippie” 917 of 1970. The dark blue stripe was a nod to the “Rothmans” livery used on cars such as the Porsche 956. The yellow stripe was a tribute to the “Penske” Porsche RS Sypder which was introduced in 2005. And the red stripe was for the “Salzburg” liveried Porsche 917 of 1970.
