"5" mph speed limit sign, re-imagined in the colours of Nigel Mansell's helmet and the Williams FW14B
This is a genuine, de-commissioned “5” mph Road Sign hand-painted in the colours of the 1992 Williams FW14B and Nigel Mansell’s helmet and then aged to show some of the original colours and reflective parts of the original road sign underneath.
It measures approx. 24 inches / 60cm round.
Nigel Mansell’s helmet design had a white section at the front surrounding the visor and a blue area at the back. Red and white arrows featured on the sides, with yellow being included due to the sponsorship of Camel, an American brand of cigarettes.
1992 was Mansell’s winning year, he won 9 races (a record at the time) and sealed the title in Hungary with 5 races to go.
