"50" mph speed limit road sign, re-imagined in the colours of Michael Schumacher’s helmet and the Benetton B194

This is a genuine, de-commissioned 50 mph Road Sign hand painted in the colours of the 1994 Benetton B194 and Michael Schumacher’s helmet and then aged to show some of the original colours and reflective parts of the original road sign underneath.

Measures approx 22.5 inches square / 57.5cm square.

1994 was the year of Michael Schumacher’s first F1 Driver’s World Championship win. In the final race of the season at Adelaide in Australia he collided with Damon Hill, forcing them both to retire, which meant that he won the Championship by 1 point. He won 8 races, had 6 pole positions and was on the podium 10 times,

His helmet was white with a navy blue circle on the top, with the black, red and yellow colours of the German flag on the sides.
