"Slippery Road" sign, re-imagined in Porsche Martini 917 LH #21 colours
This is a genuine, de-commissioned “Slippery Road” sign hand-painted in the colours of the 1971 Le Mans Martini Porsche 917 LH number 21 and then aged to show some of the original colours and reflective parts of the original road sign underneath.
It measures approx. 24 × 26 inches / 60 × 67cm.
The Porsche 917 LH was a prototype that raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1971. The Martini Racing Team number 21 car of Vic Elford and Gerard Larrousse did not finish the race due to an engine breakdown after covering 74 laps.
